Zero Waste

Refuse | Reduce | Reuse | Recycle | Rot

The Zero Waste Lifestyle has interested me for many years. In July of 2016, the village informed residents that our landfill had been given a 10 year extension. But we have to work harder. As it would reach capacity before the 10 years is up. Forcing us to establish a transfer station at great cost.

As a result, I decided to renew my efforts to live a Zero Waste Lifestyle.

To date, here are examples of what I have done to assist me in living a Zero Waste Lifestyle.

  1. Switched to Cloth Napkins
  2. Started using Family Cloths
  3. Switched to Wood Cutting Boards
  4. Asked Canada Post to stop delivering Ad Mail to my post box
